You know how it is, when somebody establishes himself as a funnyman, and then on, gets most of his laughs, just because of that reputation.
That is kind of what has been happening to Joel McHale, of late.
Yup! The actor seems to be at a loss of funny lines, and is resorting to some poor jokes in an (failed) attempt to make people laugh.
His latest shot at this kind of humor was, when he targeted The Vampire Diaries, which as I am sure most of you will agree, is one of the best shows on TV.
Joel’s problem with the show is that it clashes with the timings of his show, Community, which is why he seems determined to make people switch the channels and watch his show instead.
The first time he passed a rude comment about TVD was at the Teen Choice Awards, when he was required to present an award for the show. It was then that he commented about being surprised that a show which depicts teens riding unicorns in space, would win the award.
As if that was not enough, the comedian used Twitter as a platform to disgrace the show, by Tweeting that the show is not a diary, but is a journal instead. He took his so-called ‘humor’ to the next level by blatantly urging people to watch the Community premiere instead.
Our message to Joel is that such things are not even vaguely funny, but we expected better from him after all the years he’s been around.
Anyway, thank goodness that the jokes he cracks on The Soup are always hilarious (thanks to the creative writers of the show), which gives us all the reasons in the world to catch up with the show online.

Believe it or not,
The actor was enjoying a lovely, quiet time, while working as the host on The Soup. There was time, money, and most importantly, his kids around. But ever since he asked himself, ‘what’s next?’, it’s been an upward ride (in terms of career) and downward (in terms of things that make a person look admirably human).
The case in question is that of the self-proclaimed royalties, the Kardashians, who were the latest target of Joel McHale’s merciless humor. The Kardashians, who have been providing the media with fodder for what now seems like decades, first shot to fame with their infamous sex tapes.
Not every celebrity is able to withstand mockery of oneself or one’s show, with a sporting spirit, and this has to be accepted with a pinch of salt.
The art of keeping your mood jolly, with a gleaming smile all the time, is not an easy job, especially with the tough day-to-day life. And this made me wonder about the source of inspiration for our stand-up comedian, Joel McHale.
I guess there wouldn’t be any actor who would not want his children to see their daddy beat all those villains on the screen.
